Bakit Di Ka Crush ng Crush Mo, A Special Block Screening

I've never attended a block screening of a Philippine movie before. So when I got an invitation to the sponsored screening of "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?"  I was excited for obvious reasons but also a tad bit apprehensive since I had no idea what people wore to these events.  In the end, I settled for a simple red and black dress from Forever 21 .   (More outfit photos and details below.)   The event, held at the Shangri-la Cineplex Premier Theater was sponsored by Faces & Curves ,  owned by the husband and wife team, Dr. Jay and Dr. Sheila Recasata. The lead stars of the movie, local heartthrobs Kim Chui and Xian Lim , are  the major celebrity endorsers of Faces & Curves. So, it was in their honor that the the special block screening was held. Discovering the Art of Yayoi Kusama

I'm not a big pants and jeans person, basically because I have such a difficult time finding a pair that  fits me perfectly. It has actually been a lifelong frustration for me.  That is, until I got my first pair of Calvin Klein Jeans .  For some weird, inexplicable reason, where all other brands have failed me, only my Calvins and  my Calvins alone can make me feel like Tilda Lindstam . So I was more than pleasantly surprised when a pair of striped skinnies from little known Shopaholic was a perfect fit for me and I love it!    And so, for yesterday's visit to the Ayala Museum , I put on my current favorite skinnies paired with  a denim top from Cotton On ,  and comfy wedges from Chelsea.
